PiYo Challenge - Day 23


I have to say...those vitamins really did the trick! I felt so much better today. I got started on my homework after making my coffee and ate a new protein bar I am trying. It was odd but good...cinnamon bun with white chocolate..interesting but high protein. 


Got a ton done today...which was awesome. I was in the zone and a far cry from where I was yesterday in my mind for sure! Thoroughly enjoyed my productive day...


Lunch was two corn tortillas that I put in a skillet and cooked for a minute, some mashed avocado, 4oz of ground turkey, and a little of the (high calorie) chinese red pepper flake oil I LOVE! 


After that I ended up getting two papers done today in school...I didn't have a snack and I still have much to do. But I feel better about it. 



Later I got on to Piyo - Core. I had the option to do Hardcore on the Floor...so instead I did BOTH! I have to say that though piyo has incredibly helped my back in many ways....core can be a bit difficult at times...but I still feel great after...but my yoga mat is for sure falling apart...I need a much better mat...ugh...Anyway...doing Hardcore on the Floor...really works more of your back muscles and planks...which I actually really love but since my back has gotten worse...its hard to hold it for so long or at all at times. I think had I completed only Hardcore on the Floor I would have been fine but I had to modify and stop at times all together...I really like the workout...but I think if I had done it alone I wouldnt have had the pain. bummer...but still even though I had to modify and stop at times...I still burned a bit more than doing core alone. Thats enjoyable too.


I also had to re-evaluate my goals for Piyo and check that out...I have cut beer and I have logged my workouts, drank water...I need to improve..working on it. I have lost 9lbs., pre-made meals, and improved flexibility. I have tried to do the running but my back hurts too much and school got busy but I have been adding other workouts to make up for that.I have not gotten certified...that will come later...annnnnnnnd working out is best right after lunch. Overall, not bad.


I of course had my shakeology after and enjoyed it...my PB2 I bought in abundance from groupon better hurry and get here...I am out. 

Later I decided to make turkey burgers. (kroger brand are best because 36g compared to 16g of Jenny-O) They are actually bigger too.. I cut up one zucchini and one squash, some onions and brussel sprouts with coconut oil in a skillet and nom nom....oooo. I also cooked the turkey burgers in some of the Chinese oil for heat...it ended up really good. I then put some mixed cabbage in the skillet to add to the burgers along with a little bit of avocado. It ended up amazing and I really think I'll definitely do this again...OMG right. haha


Again, back to reading after that...I have had a ton of water today and I have been productive. I can not stress how important having extra vitamins can be. Funny thing is, I don't ever recall having this problem except when over working out...but man, I guess I still need more!!! On another note...I decided to get my team on board to re-improve activity and do this 30 Day Challenge..so far its great!
