PiYo Challenge - Day 6
Today was non-eventful...nah, it was great! I woke up with kitties in my face. It was the best thing in the world when your sweet sweet kitty wakes you up with her quiet meow (Punkin does not meow much), layin on your chest and tapping your face with her paw. She's 6 years old but she's still an adorable snuggle bunny. I didn't take a photo but its much like this video...I swore she was talking to the other kitties outside the door who were telling her to wake me up.
As soon as I got up...late, as I was again up late....Marc came in shortly after...and told me it was time for P90x3 Yoga...I was going to pass but I decided not to. Instead it was wonderful and great!!! I love that workout and I really enjoy working out with my honey. Nothing like working out with your significant other because it brings you closer together. For breakfast I had my kind bar as I was in a hurry...nom nom...so good. I still wanted my eggs...tomorrow...I'll have it tomorrow.
After we finished Yoga, I went on to do my Piyo Define Lower Body...wow, I was able to go even deeper now that I know the moves better. I enjoy that workout but again still not burning much of anything so I feel as if I need to do other workouts to get some kind of burn but I said I would be faithful to Piyo alone yet I want to burn more. I am eating really healthy and doing very well but I want to accelerate it. I know I have on my goal board to run a 5k a week at least so I will start making more time to go to the park and get out...get sun and enjoy life some more as I feel like I stay inside way too much, lack vitamin D which leads to depression and I need to stop that.
So, re-adjusting myself and this weeks food choices weren't bad at all. I had my Chocolate vegan Shakeology as usual and enjoyed it...man, I feel so better after I drink it...more energy and clarity. All around so much better.
Later had a yoplait yogurt and then I made us some ground turkey in corn tortillas with tomatoes, onions, spinach, siracha, and tiny bit mozzarella cheese....which I swear I wouldn't know was there...haha. But it was yum. This is Marc's plate...lots prettier cause mine came apart....
Afterward we decided to go to a movie and see Dawn of The Planet of The Apes...which I really didn't want to see...but Oh My God...it was wonderful. I truly enjoyed that movie...the previews don't do it justice. It was nice to unpack a little more before we left so now my things are all put together in the bathroom...probably another reason I have been so stressed but after all the Yoga and Piyo today I felt amazing...no back pain and no nothing. It was and still is amazing and I feel like this really may be MY new go to workout! If it can take my pain away like this...then I will do it forever!!!
Feels so good doing my hair and putting makeup on...may just be a movie but it was nice and I felt pretty...we women have to stick together and remember that we have to still take care of ourselves and do things that make us happy even if we dont leave the house much or go out much. It was nice...My honey could barely stop staring...yay. I was only in jeans and a t-shirt.
Got home from the movie and made dinner which was wide vietnamese rice noodles...thin pork chops I made in a skillet on low so I didnt have to use oils...and I took left over fresh string beans and put them in the skillet after the pork...so yum...afterward I placed all the contents in a bowl with beef broth...simple, easy and yum but I didn't drink the broth.
On another level...look what I got in...so excited to start it...3 - Day Refresh!!! and eager to try out the old but goodie Power 90!
All in all, it was a great day. I ate good, I had a few glasses of wine watching tv and Red Vs Blue today laughing with my honey but all in all...did you know Netflix had up to Season 5 on it..very good. Such a wonderful day! If it weren't for Marc I wouldn't know what was going on in the world. Or even all the funny things. Even having gotten a 100 on my first quiz... Everyone thinks Masters...no problem...but mine is in 10 week increments...crazy hard.
