Piyo Challenge - Day 1
So, here it is Day 1 and it was a successful day. It was a very stressful day to say the least but it was successful. I pretty much started about everything today.
I woke up, had some blueberry yogurt, walnuts, chia seeds and pumpkin seed mix since I didn't buy oatmeal that I HAD put on my meal plan. YUM! happy about that! Got to work...coaching, school...
After moving, we have two refrigerators which is a good thing because we now have a lot of food and need the room but we have to move one to the other room as the ice maker went out today. Wasn't so bad that Marc was home from work at 10ish today...though he was irritated that the landlord wouldn't send someone to fix the valve that literally was broken off behind the fridge...we made do...switch my gorgeous fridge out for the one that came with the house...but its now in the front room on the foax wood...hope that doesn't ruin. That was an adventure getting it in there because we had to move a couch, take the handles off the fridge to get it in there and team work it to lift over a piece of wood on the floor to get in the other room but we did it. Then while moving his dining room table that is my office for the time being...the leg was broken or sounded like it...don't think it is...but he about had enough...it was stressful. I had a hard boiled egg and left it at that.
I was looking at my two Masters classes that started today...lots of work but found that some things had been changed in one class so I don't have a project in one because last quarter it didn't go so great for them. Anyway, I got a few posts done..took notes and realized my 3-Day refresh will be here Thursday and Friday the book I need for a post that is due on Wednesday will be here. Deep breathe!
Then a little later I made lunch for Marc and me and I made us some Romaine lettuce salads with cracked pepper turkey breast lunch meat, roma tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and for me...fresh lemon juice and him more of everything and tuscan dressing...he obviously needs the calories..and I don't. Overall, he enjoyed the lunch..I did too. Time to post in my group for my Piyo Challenge team!!!
So, I go do The Fundamentals of Piyo for 45 minutes. I really enjoyed it...I found many things in it that some of my team members later had problems with pushing themselves too hard and hurting. I know the goal is to not push too far but let yourself go as far as you can and improve as you go...not to go balls to the wall, supercalifragelistic on your body straight away and cause an injury...but I can see how it can happen f you aren't flexible. Not being as active in my workouts minus moving, packing, and unpacking, I haven't been as flexible and definitely need the work. I can tell it has been awhile and I need to work on my posture. I have been in quite a lot of pain with my back lately and the disks have definitely been giving me a run for my money. I can't stand for long periods of time and even have to sit during cooking at times. It's not fun and I'm glad to be active again. Over all, I got a slight sweat and burned about 200 calories when all was said and done...after doing my videos for my team...here is shown right after the workout. I can tell the strength I built up in Asylum in my arms is really fell in two weeks but it won't be long till it's back.
Yes I get personal here guys...it's a normal thing!
Gladly earned my Chocolate pb2 Shakeology with Vanilla Soy...my favorite! extra blended so it's like a frosty! mmmm. So, yum!
Little later I found myself feeling a bit snacky and I couldn't figure out why till i realized that I didn't have my snack I planned...well, the yogurt pack I had cut out the almonds I had planned so it was just a cup of watermelon...mmm...that hit the spot and was perfect.
I will admit...I did cheat after the hell of a time moving all the furniture and the fridge...stressing over how I'm going to pay for my residency, work, school, juggling everything...blah blah..letting negative take over.. I had my Shiner Ruby Redbird. yeah I know...goal is to cut out beer but one day one I did bad...shoot me. Marc had to get it...and I didn't say no...it's seasonal! I couldn't say no... lol
Dinner was yum too! Broiled Chicken breast, brussel sprouts cooked in coconut oil, sauteed mushrooms and onions, and red quinoa...and.....yep...one more beer. shoot me...I like it...and I hate Shiner...but that stuff is just good. lol
Overall I met my goal...under it actually and I measured everything out...I drank 85oz of water too. I feel good. All is well. I have packed Marc's breakfast/snack for tomorrow and I am ready for tomorrow to start...yep. That's about it. Been a busy day...wish I could find time to go to the park...i want to so bad and there are two near me. I will once I get my posts out of the way with school. Hoping this quarter isn't so bad. =)
