PiYo Challenge - Day 3


MMmm. eye candy....oh yeah...blog... heehee...Today was a good day i would say. I sold my lawnmower to some people who really needed one...that made me feel good plus I got moolah! Cha-Ching! $45 in my pocket! Older lawnmower and I had gotten it for free so doesn't bother me none. I need the cash! The lady even asked me if I had anything else to sell. Well, I do but you don't want my weed eater...it sucks! =/ One question...why is neither the man or woman working and the kids in the car on a Wednesday? Interesting...plus you bought a new house...maybe you have time off...who knows. Thou shall not judge. =)

But yes...I woke up...to this lovely boy..he loves to snuggle...This...is Shadow!

Moving on...Piyo...yes, that's what I'm here to talk about...the PiYo Challenge. I have to admit it was a stressful day for me with school and all. I never seemed to get much of anything done. Spent the day reading a book I later found out I didn't have to read because we had this 90 minute online thing they went over it all and we had a discussion question due today. Yes, you are thinking...it's just a discussion question. Uh-huh! Sure, if you mean having to LOCATE, READ, and CITE at least 3 sources in a discussion that you get to talk about on a topic they give you. WIIIIIIIIDE OPEN! For failure...but I'll get better at it. Anyway, wasn't till recently here at 12:30am I finally wrapped that up. Whew.



Sorry, got distracted....Anyway,first thing on the list...yogurt! I had some chobani flips yogurt. Its got nuts and stuff...but this key lime one had graham crackers and white chocolate. It was really good! Btw, my plan for eating today was all off. I didn't eat my fruit in the morning but I had it in my Shakeology later after my workout...Strawberry Shakeology and Watermelon...mmmm.. its yummy! So refreshing too! Still not my favorite though but I like it all the same. 


My post of the day: Whew! Finished Define: Upper Body...ya know for an 18 minute workout...I was sweating...crazy... Usually I sweat with lower body but this one had me going. I love BEAST though...love love love love love it! ah! So great! I had a wonderful turkey wrap..nom noms... and ya know it wasnt till late last night but I felt my obliques....for having two workouts when I felt I wasnt doing much...I am pretty damn sure...this workout is going to really kick some ass! So, I've been dead on in my clean eating and following my plan to a T!



Obviously, my eating kind of crashed later a bit. I'll catch you up..just you wait. Anywho, Turkey wrap with spinach,tomatoes,onions,horseradish mustard and siracha with pine nuts...nom nom...the horseradish was kind of strong though..threw me off how I forgot... siracha would have been perfect. 

Afternoon fun! Marc is like Minxi! 

My irritation with my school work later on was just no fun thing and Marc walked his happy ass in the kitchen and had found cheese sticks...the fried freezer kind...ugh... once I saw them...well, I LOVE CHEESE! I have been so good..no cravings and here he busts this out...and I HATE fried stuff but ITS CHEESE!!!! So....I had one.....then he munches again in front of me...I steal another and he says he won't let me have another to help my eating. I still think there is evil in him cause he wanted those cheese sticks to himself...but so be it...keep the calories...though they were only 90 calories...they were 8g of fat each. ick! He ate the whole box. Meanwhile, I was so irritated at my school crap I had a beer. yeah, I know...its there...its almost gone...and I have to stick to NOT drinking them...ugh.



Dinner was thin top sirloin...as lean as we found...but it just was so chewy...we love a medium rare...Marc kicks ass on steaks but it was just too rare I think. (it was so thin and he did it so perfect..no idea how...Master Griller) Reason being is that it kept getting stuck in my teeth and I couldn't stand it...but it was tasty...I didn't finish my portion though....again, not all steaks are alike so could just be the steak. We also had couscous and a mixture of bok choy, red,yellow, and orange bell peppers, and mushrooms with ginger cooked in coconut oil...mmm so good.  My pretty picture was well...I didn't take it...it got eaten...i forgot...this is left overs!

That's about it for that...overall I enjoyed the day with Shadow laying with me...he's got his arm around me now...btw, thats my black cat..literally my shadow...he's a talker. Punkin is about the same and Minxi could give a shit less. haha.

On a different note...I wanted to share some things about nutrition...yep. I know all about it...I still drink beer. I'm a real boy! lol. Real person here...real problems...issues..whatever...
I did go over my calorie intake...can you guess by how much? THE 2 DAMN CHEESESTICKS AND BEER! That'll teach me! But that is only if I don't eat my calories back for my workout...which with this program I am not.

Ya know....people talk about not being able to afford to eat healthy...when yes,its expensive..I get it but 1. you can go to your local farm market or whatever you have. We have mexican markets that sell produce for dirt cheap...unfortunately I moved away from mine now. But I realize that with two people I spent $120 to feed us for the week. I forgot oatmeal. I also didn't figure in the extra food Marc would consume because we kind of just doubled my protein and grain intake on my eating plan for him...I didn't go into details because that's really the expensive part he needs. Funny part is...we have a ton left over once I cook. Then Marc snacks on it...on top of snacks I give him...so it really works out. Baller on a budget yo! It's amazing how farther your food goes when you eat smaller proportions throughout the day and what you realize you were eating all along when you only ate three meals a day and over fed your body.


I tell you guys this because I learn all this through trial and error. Sure, I knew how to eat from day one...did i? no...cause I heard the same tales...too expensive, too hard...don't have time. Uh, I am making time. I pre-prep...I could pre-prep more...but even at staying home working and doing school Im seriously busy...it doesn't end.



Look at most our foods now...processed...can you imagine the gunk in our bodies? I mean its not so bad to find yogurt that's yummy and a buck! Yay...healthy and yum! I mean...we can even make small changes at home with significant others. Husbands don't really care...just feed them and they will eat it...make it tasty...they will never know the difference. Small changes though or they will think something is up!!! lol



And why the hell isn't every drinking Shakeology? oh yeah! It's too expensive! You'll be saying that when you are in the doctor bills come in...haha. It's great for diabetics..I have no idea exactly how it works but it does. Oh, and if you aren't regular...like pooping regular...and you know who you are...Shakeology will help you with that too! For most people it makes them poop..WHY?!?!? Because it's cleaning your gut! That's what this stuff does! So if you are gassy...guess what...that's probably a problem you have...I bet. Are you backed up regularly?! It's probably in what you are eating. 



Let's put it this way, since Monday back on my clean eating and small snacks..I'm regular...me...I haven't really been regular lately ...but I hadn't been drinking my Shakeology either nor eating well. Cutting processed foods as much as possible and eating more veggies is the way to go. Natural foods have more fiber in them and that alone helps you #2! But seriously, its all about WHAT YOU EAT!!! AND in drinking MORE WATER...half your body weight! Solution is simple! I use to think I are clean and pretty healthy but I didn't eat as many salads as I do now...I ate them but not as many. I didn't eat fruit really...not a sweets kind of person...and yogurt I stopped eating...no snacks! More of all that...PROBLEM SOLVED! MORE WATER = MORE ENERGY! IT'S CRAZY! But simple!



Think of it this way. What we put in our body is our body's fuel...like putting diesel in your car...it would not be pretty and I'm pretty sure you'd fuck up your engine... Why put THICK crap in your body, you're gonna back up! No idea why tthat was so hard to understand or why I didn't care before...I think I did but I, like everyone else...still wanted a quick fix and listened to the public on what "healthy" means...negative negative negative. NO BUENO! It's okay though, my sister's blonde.



Ya know...the veggies we eat are full of water...so from a chemistry stand point ...it breaks up the proteins and carbs you put in your body so that you can "go"...without that...you are shit out of luck...literally....and we all know... You've got to lube the tubes! Can you imagine all the gunt built up in our systems because we couldn't clean ourselves out? That's why I love Shakeology...it helps clean your system! and THEY (whoever they are) say 3-Day Refresh does it even more!!! Just like the Ultimate Reset but instead of 21 Days and seriously intense cleaning...you have 3 and a short cleanse! It works because it has fiber and cleansers that our body needs to break that stuff up and get it gone...like needing an oil change! I think every 3000 miles I'll have my pipes cleaned...wait, that sounded dirty... you get my point! 



Anyway...I'm off my soap box now...I was on a roll...well, no rolls...no carbs for me. haha. Time for bed. it's 3am and waaaay past my bed time. Delirium has set in!
